Sudan's Prime Minister affirms his support for enhancing women's political participation


Sudanese Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah Hamdok affirmed the keenness and interest of the transitional government in the issues of Sudanese women and the strengthening of their participation in the political work in the country.

Hamdok praised, upon his meeting today with the delegation of the "Our Complete Right" campaign, headed by the General Secretary of the campaign, Real Moaz, for the role that women have played in the development process throughout Sudan's history, and their active contribution to bringing about change, especially during the December revolution.

The campaign rapporteur, Randa Obeid, said in a press statement that the meeting dealt with the right of women to political participation during the coming period, stressing that the qualitative gains that women found in the transitional period are gains that Sudanese women have earned through their struggle during the entire period of the rule of the former regime, and their remarkable presence in the December revolution, namely Benefits not waived.
