The Tunisian Public Prosecution announced that attempting to harm the President of the Republic is a felony punishable by death, according to an urgent news broadcast by Al-Arabiya TV a short while ago.
The Tunisian Public Prosecution added: We did not know of the poisoned expulsion incident that was sent to the presidency until two days later.
Earlier, the Tunisian presidency confirmed, this evening, Thursday, that the director of the President's Office of the Republic suffered a deterioration in her health and a feeling of fainting and almost total loss of the sense of sight after opening a special mail addressed to the Tunisian President Qais Said on Wednesday, which led to her transfer to the military hospital in Tunisia.
The Tunisian presidency indicated in a statement that the mail sent to the president of the republic arrived at the presidential palace at 5 pm on Wednesday, explaining that one of the employees at the head office of the Tunisian Republic was present when the accident occurred and felt the same symptoms that the director of the office experienced, but to a lesser extent.
