A 6.1-magnitude earthquake strikes Tibet



The China Seismological Center reported that an earthquake measuring 6.1 on the Richter scale occurred Friday in the Tibet Autonomous Region in western China, adding that earthquakes were recorded at 14:11 local time in Nagzhou Province, and that the epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers .


For its part, the Chinese Central Television said that about 2.1 thousand people were present 20 kilometers from the epicenter of the earthquake, while about 8.8 thousand people were present 50 kilometers from it, and about 110 thousand people were 100 kilometers away.


So far, there is no information about any injuries or material damage due to the earthquake.
