The Ministry of Industry and Trade issued a decision to amend Law 118 of 1975 in the matter of import and export, by amending Article 22 of the import and export of cars.
The Official Gazette published in the February 3 issue of 2021, the decision of the Minister of Industry and Trade Nevin Jameh No. 31 of 2021 to amend Article 22 of the aforementioned law.
According to the amendment text published in the Official Gazette, “It is required for passenger cars that they meet the age requirement in accordance with the provisions of Appendix No. Three of these regulations on the date of purchase, possession or shipment, and the purchase is confirmed by an invoice documented in a contemporary date of the date of purchase, not exceeding three months, as well. Possession is proven by submitting a license in the name of the importer or an approved and documented certificate issued by the Traffic Department in the country in which he operates, with the exception of passenger cars received with fees for patients or the handicapped who meet the provisions of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Law No. 10 of 2018, provided that the competent person is notified that the vehicle is not licensed for those not released in his name Before the lapse of at least three years. "
