Symptoms of the new strain of Corona virus, most notably muscle pain

Scientists discovered a new strain of Corona virus late last year, specifically in the southeast of England, and researchers and doctors worked to determine the cause of the mutation, and identified this new variable as the reason behind the faster spread of the virus, according to a recent report issued by the British National Bureau of Statistics (ONS) , The symptoms of COVID are more prevalent in people who were infected with the new British strain, and according to data collected between November 5, 2020 and January 16, 2021, we present to you in this report the most symptoms of Corona according to the new strain of the virus, according to the "Times of India" website.

And according to NHS guidelines, the most common symptoms in people with the new coronavirus (the British variant) are fever, sore throat, muscle pain, coughing and fatigue.

Mounting evidence suggests that the mutated virus may be more contagious than the original strain, given the recent spike in the number of Corona cases in England. Besides, the new British breed is said to have a higher mortality rate than ever before and young adults, apart from at-risk groups, are now at risk as well.

Symptoms of the new strain of Corona virus

fever

Recent data collected by the British Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that about 19% of study-participating coronavirus patients experienced a fever associated with the original variant, while 22% of cases were related to the new COVID strain.

Cough

Patients who were infected with the new variant showed a higher percentage of cough symptoms than those who were infected with the original strain.

According to reports, 28% contributed to the original variant, while 35% of cases contributed to the British variant.

Shortness of breath

Shortness of breath is one of the most common symptoms of corona. However, little or no difference was found in people with the original or new coronavirus strain.

Muscle pain

Among those with the original strain, 21% showed signs of muscle pain, while 24% of those with the British strain had the same symptoms.

Loss of the sense of smell and taste

Unlike other symptoms, loss of smell and taste were the only symptoms that were higher in people infected with the original strain rather than in individuals infected with the new type.

About 19% and 18% of patients of the original strain complained of loss of smell and taste, respectively, on the other hand, 16% of those infected with the new Corona strain reported a loss of smell and 15% complained of loss of taste as a symptom.

 Headache

With regard to headache as a symptom of Corona, the study did not show any difference between the two strains.

 Sore throat

With 22%, sore throats was higher in people who contracted the new strain compared to 19% associated with the original type.

Gastrointestinal symptoms

The most recent study suggested that there was no difference in the percentage of gastrointestinal symptoms experienced by both heterogeneous groups.

Given the damage that Corona has caused so far, it is important to remain alert and prepared for the worst. In the event that coughing, fever, fatigue or loss of sense of smell and taste persist, you must diagnose your condition on your own. Isolate yourself immediately and sterilize all places you touched to contain the spread of the virus .

Additionally, if you experience severe chest pain, mental confusion, shortness of breath and other serious complications, seek medical help and visit a hospital.
