The US State Department criticized the decision of the International Court of Justice for its competence to hear the issue of sanctions against Iran, according to an urgent news broadcast by Al Arabiya a short while ago.
The crisis of the nuclear agreement between the United States of America and Iran entered a new phase, after the International Court of Justice unanimously rejected the American objections that it was not competent to consider the dispute between the United States of America and Iran, at a time when Washington sought to reduce tension with Tehran.
The International Court of Justice said: "US sanctions on Iran violate Washington's obligations to the friendship agreement between the two countries in 1955," as the judges of the International Court of Justice of the United Nations decided today, Wednesday, to accept the hearing of a case brought by Iran against the United States requesting the lifting of sanctions imposed on Tehran.
