Dr. Khaled Al-Anani, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, said that the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir will remain a reference for Egyptology, and will remain standing, and no one has thought of eliminating the Egyptian Museum.

He added, during his meeting with the media, Lamis El Hadidy, on ON Channel, that the ministry is working to develop the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir, which has become stacked with antiquities after the archaeological discoveries that have been made during the past decades, and what is new is that it will be displayed in the Grand Egyptian Museum and the other in the Museum of Civilization. Thousands of unique artifacts will remain in the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir.

Regarding the mummies procession, he said that it is a cultural and tourist event aimed at reaching every home in the world, and all channels of the world demanded that this event be covered, and we will convey to the whole world how Egypt respects its kings and its history, indicating that the procession will take about an hour and a quarter of an hour.
