The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced that Russian warplanes launched 22 air strikes today, Saturday, against ISIS sites in several sectors within the Syrian Badia (from the eastern countryside of Homs, reaching the two desert cities of Deir Ezzor and Raqqa). This brings the number of Russian raids since dawn yesterday to 97, as the planes carried out 75 airstrikes on Friday.
In a related context, the Observatory reported, according to the "Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath" news channel, that elements of the militants affiliated with Russia and the Syrian regime have spread in the "Raqqa-Aleppo-Hama" triangle in the Syrian Badia, in order to secure the route for oil convoys coming from northeastern Syria, in addition to continuing Those forces are searching for ISIS cells and dismantling mines in separate areas there.
On Thursday, the observatory announced that Russian fighters had carried out about 25 air strikes on ISIS’s spread areas within the "Aleppo-Hama-Raqqa" triangle, and at the administrative borders between Raqqa and Deir Ezzor in the Badia, amid information about casualties.
